Fatty acids containing 16 and 18 carbons are the most common.LPA(0:0/15:1(11Z)), in particular, consists of one 11Z-pentadecenoyl chain.  Lysophosphatidic acid is the simplest possible glycerophospholipid. It is the biosynthetic precursor of phosphatidic acid.
