It is a glycerophospholipid in which a phosphorylcholine moiety occupies a glycerol substitution site. As is the case with diacylglycerols, phosphatidylcholines can have many different combinations of fatty acids of varying lengths and saturation attached to the C-1 and C-2 positions. PC(18:1(11Z)/18:1(11Z)), in particular, consists of two 11Z-octadecenoyl chains at positions C-1 and C-2. In E. coli, PCs can be found in the integral component of the cell outer membrane. They are hydrolyzed by Phospholipases to a 2-acylglycerophosphocholine and a carboxylate.","experimental_water_solubility":null,"experimental_logp_hydrophobicity":null,"location":null,"synthesis_reference":null,"chebi_id":null,"hmdb_id":"HMDB08070","kegg_id":"C00157","pubchem_id":null,"cs_id":"24766734","foodb_id":null,"wikipedia_link":null,"biocyc_id":null,"iupac":"(2-{[(2R)-2,3-bis[(11Z)-octadec-11-enoyloxy]propyl phosphono]oxy}ethyl)trimethylazanium","traditional_iupac":"(2-{[(2R)-2,3-bis[(11Z)-octadec-11-enoyloxy]propyl phosphono]oxy}ethyl)trimethylazanium","logp":"9.168227725861586","pka":null,"alogps_solubility":"2.23e-05 g/l","alogps_logp":"5.75","alogps_logs":"-7.58","acceptor_count":"4","donor_count":"0","rotatable_bond_count":"42","polar_surface_area":"111.19","refractivity":"236.50230000000005","polarizability":"96.83375443733365","formal_charge":"0","physiological_charge":"0","pka_strongest_basic":"-6.744159309169687","pka_strongest_acidic":"1.8550572064469137","bioavailability":"0","number_of_rings":"0","rule_of_five":"0","ghose_filter":"0","veber_rule":"0","mddr_like_rule":"0","synonyms":[" 1,2-divaccenoyl-rac-glycero-3-phosphocholine"," GPCho(18:1/18:1)"," GPCho(18:1n7/18:1n7)"," GPCho(18:1w7/18:1w7)"," GPCho(36:2)"," Lecithin"," PC(18:1n7/18:1n7)"," PC(18:1w7/18:1w7)"," PC(36:2)"," Phosphatidylcholine(18:1/18:1)"," Phosphatidylcholine(18:1n7/18:1n7)"," Phosphatidylcholine(18:1w7/18:1w7)"," Phosphatidylcholine(36:2)","PC(18:1/18:1)"],"pathways":[{"name":"Phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis PC(18:1(11Z)/18:1(11Z))","kegg_map_id":null}],"growth_conditions":[{"growth_media":"YEB media with 0.5 mM glucose","concentration":"0.755","concentration_units":"\u0026#181;M","error":"0.03775"},{"growth_media":"SD media with 2% raffinose","concentration":"210000.0","concentration_units":"umol/L","error":"2775.0"},{"growth_media":"SD media with 2% raffinose","concentration":"373500.0","concentration_units":"umol/L","error":"20375.0"}],"references":[],"proteins":[]}
