It is a glycerophospholipid in which a phosphate moiety occupies a glycerol substitution site. Lysophosphatidic acids can have different combinations of fatty acids of varying lengths and saturation attached at the C-1 (sn-1) or C-2 (sn-2) position. Fatty acids containing 16 and 18 carbons are the most common. Lysophosphatidic acid is the simplest possible glycerophospholipid. It is the biosynthetic precursor of phosphatidic acid.","experimental_water_solubility":null,"experimental_logp_hydrophobicity":null,"location":"Cytoplasm;Endoplasmic reticulum;Mitochondrion membrane","synthesis_reference":null,"chebi_id":null,"hmdb_id":null,"kegg_id":null,"pubchem_id":null,"cs_id":"7826123","foodb_id":null,"wikipedia_link":null,"biocyc_id":null,"iupac":"[(2R)-2-hydroxy-3-(tetradecanoyloxy)propoxy]phosphonic acid","traditional_iupac":"1-myristoyl lpa","logp":"4.069336518333333","pka":"6.531115837556447","alogps_solubility":"1.50e-02 g/l","alogps_logp":"3.11","alogps_logs":"-4.41","acceptor_count":"5","donor_count":"3","rotatable_bond_count":"18","polar_surface_area":"113.29000000000002","refractivity":"95.77839999999999","polarizability":"42.90216185472971","formal_charge":"0","physiological_charge":"-2","pka_strongest_basic":"-3.4039997949880556","pka_strongest_acidic":"1.505317785248875","bioavailability":"1","number_of_rings":"0","rule_of_five":"1","ghose_filter":"1","veber_rule":"0","mddr_like_rule":"0","synonyms":["(2R)-2-Hydroxy-3-(phosphonooxy)propyl myristate","(2R)-2-Hydroxy-3-(phosphonooxy)propyl myristic acid","1-Myristoyl lpa","1-Myristoyl lysophosphatidate","1-Myristoyl lysophosphatidic acid","1-Myristoyl-2-lyso-sn-glycerol 3-phosphatidate","1-Myristoyl-2-lyso-sn-glycerol 3-phosphatidic acid","1-Myristoylglycerol 3-phosphate","1-Myristoylglycerol 3-phosphoric acid","1-O-Myristoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphate","1-O-Myristoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphoric acid","1-O-Tetradecanoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphate","1-O-Tetradecanoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphoric acid","1-Tetradecanoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphate","1-Tetradecanoyl-sn-glycerol 3-phosphoric acid","1-Tetradecanoylglycerol 3-phosphate","1-Tetradecanoylglycerol 3-phosphoric acid","Myristoyl lysophosphatidate","Myristoyl lysophosphatidic acid"],"pathways":[],"growth_conditions":[],"references":[{"pubmed_id":19174513,"citation":"Ejsing, C.
